Looks great. It does seem to be missing the various death chimes, though.

Hi,

It doesn't work on Lion DP 2.

:-(

Great, i like this very much. And thanks for still offering an non-AppStore download option. Is there an update to iOS in the pipeline (iPad friendly update)?

@Charles: Startup and death chimes are included. Click on the model icon to play the startup chime and option-click to play the death chime.

@Anonymous: Yes, an update to the iOS release is on the way.

Very nice update! Like the icons in the main window and the search field (but it would be nice if search could optionally be restricted... sometimes I'm not sure what the search is finding.) I especially like the feature where you can import a System Profiler doc into My Models! However, this crashed the app the first time I tried it... probably because I already had a Mac with the same name. When I changed the name of the existing Mac in My Models, it didn't crash. (For some reason, Report Bugs or Errors is dimmed, so I'm reporting here.) Thanks again, Ian!

I downgraded. The new version wastes space with HUGE banners. View machine details and all the Zoom button does is snap the window to the top right. You still have a scrollbar. You can't even manually enlarge the damned window, just make it smaler! Chimes are hidden, why? Never did find the secret way to show benchmarks. Terrible "update" and obviously a Mac app poisoned by iOS thinking.

Good to finally get the info on the latest models along with a few new features. A few things need attention WRT the interface...
* Allow the detail windows to be expanded to whatever size monitor. They seem to be stuck!
* Add a button to the top right of the title bar to collapse the GIANT headers (which duplicate information and take up lotsa space).
* Put the chime button back... no need to hide that functionality.
* Put back the shortcuts for switching between panes in the detail view and start with command-1 instead of command-0 for the General pane. (Why were these useful shortcuts removed?)
* The button for benchmarks was clear, now it's a link, which isn't so clear.
* It would be nice to have a button in the My Models detail windows to open a window with the specs for that model (this function is currently buried in the contextual menu when you right click on one of My Models).
Thanks!

The new 15 & 17 in MacBook Pros can go to 16gigs of ram - if your pocket book can.

Where are the chimes?

What, no support for Windows anymore? I'm running 5.0.11 on my Windows work computer. Where can I get version 6?

I used to be able to move my "mactracker.data" file to other computers, which saved me a lot of work instead of having to re-enter all my devices in again.

Does the new Mactracker not have this feature? Is there some way to export this data for use on other computers?
