With the beta releases of 4.1 requiring at least Mac OS X v10.3.9, I have received a few inquiries about the lack of support for v10.2.
I plan to release version 4.0.7 for 10.2 alongside the final version of 4.1. 4.0.7 will primarily be a database update and will not include all of the new features that are available in 4.1.

Link to Mactracker from other apps
One of the new features in 4.1b2 is support for the "mactracker://" URI scheme. With this scheme you can create a link to have Mactracker take you to a specific info window from another application like Safari, iChat, or your company's service/inventory/client database.
Simply open an info window and select "Show Model Hyperlink" from the "Edit" menu. In the "Link" window that appears you have two choices for creating a link; "Address only" and "Address with HTML source". The latter is likely best for use on web pages and forum posts.
An example of "Address only":
mactracker://ABA79B4E-3781-4053-8D73-AC46D16CE643
An example of posting the "Address with HTML source" link:
Power Macintosh G3 (Blue and White)
Mactracker 4.0 (and later) also supports receiving AppleEvents from applications like FileMaker Pro. I have included an example within Mactracker's application package.
