MacBook (Late 2007) detail is incorrect.

It is not Merom unlike MacBook Pro.

Not sure what you mean ezybzy. The MacBook (Mid 2007) does indeed sport Intel Core 2 Duo chips, codenamed "Merom".

ezybzy probably got confused between "Merom" and "Santa Rosa". Too many codenames.

One possible correction for you: I have an MBP Santa Rosa (from May) and it does not support DVD+R burning (at least not dual layer, haven't tried single). System Profiler only shows -R and -RW, very disappointing.
