Mac App Store asking to update Mactracker with another Apple ID

A number of users have reported being asked to login to the Mac App Store using another person's Apple ID to update Mactracker. This can occur even if Mactracker is not installed.

A receipt from this person's copy of Mactracker was used to disable the DRM from another app. Affected users will need to remove copies of this "cracked" app to prevent the Mac App Store from asking to update Mactracker.

Mactracker 1.0 was released on May 14, 2001. 10 years ago today. Over the years it has become a useful tool for resellers, service providers, collectors, hobbyists, and IT support professionals.
